What should you look for in a copywriter? Above all, you want one who understands what makes your customers tick. You want a copywriter with a fascination for human behaviour and an obsession with working out what turns passing interest into a decision to do, buy, act.
You also want a copywriter who knows their way around many media formats. As channels of communication become more disparate, a copywriter needs to know how to use each medium to maximum effect.
Oh, and you'll want a copywriter with creativity, of course. But don't be bluffed. Original thinking doesn't come out of thin air. It comes from clear objectives, inside-out product knowledge and razor sharp targeting.
